A love letter to IU Football ❤️🐾

Community has always been the foundation of Scout’s Honor. It’s how we connect, how we grow, and how we create meaningful experiences for both people and their dogs. Over the past 6 months that foundation expanded far beyond our walls thanks to IU Football and the incredible support of Khalil Benson, Aiden Fisher, Elijah Sarratt, and Kaiden Turner.

What began as a relationship built around our mutual interest: loving their dogs, quickly became something much bigger than we could have ever anticipated.

Every time these athletes liked a post, shared a story, or engaged with our content, it created a ripple effect. Each interaction introduced Scout’s Honor to new audiences: IU fans, students, alumni, and fellow dog lovers. They helped us gain followers, increase engagement, and move further toward our long-term goal of building Scout’s Honor into a trusted, recognizable brand.

That kind of organic growth can’t be bought.

That kind of growth only comes from authenticity.

We are deeply grateful for the trust they placed in us by choosing Scout’s Honor to care for their dogs. Trust is everything in our line of work. Being entrusted with their dogs meant more than a partnership, it meant family. These incredible athletes and their families showed us extreme kindness and the infamous Hoosier hospitality. They turned our non-football fan team members into football fans by being their authentic selves. They turned non-football loving pet parents into football fans by giving them something to root for: the players' super cute dogs.

Khalil, Aiden, Elijah, and Kaiden also went above and beyond by taking the time to record content, share their experiences, and help tell our story in their own voices. Some content you have seen already, other content you will see this month.Their willingness to show up, be genuine, and advocate for us gave Scout’s Honor credibility and visibility that extended well beyond our immediate community.

Their recommendations to coaches and fellow teammates further strengthened that impact helping us welcome even more people into the Scout’s Honor pack.

At the same time, IU Football’s impact reached far beyond individual businesses. For the past 6 months Bloomington has felt electric.

Restaurants packed with 40-person-deep waitlists, local hotels completely sold out during home games and people who just wanted to watch the bowl games in the town they went to college, and retail shops busier than they’ve ever been: all signs of a program that fuels an entire city.

IU Football helped Bloomington remain resilient, energized, and connected during uncertain times across the country. That kind of economic and cultural impact matters deeply to small, local businesses like ours and matters deeply to a small city like Bloomington.

The results have been both meaningful and measurable. Increased visibility, new clients, and financial growth have allowed Scout’s Honor to reinvest in our facility, our staff, and the level of care we provide. But just as important are the feelings they helped create: a sense of pride, momentum, and belonging that we carry forward every day.

So from all of us at Scout’s Honor: our team, our pet parents, and every wagging tail in our care, thank you.

  • Thank you for trusting us with your dogs.

  • Thank you for autographing memorabilia for our staff.

  • Thank you for autographing memorabilia for local charity events: You don't want to miss what Scout's Honor is donating to Monroe County Humane Association's Tails on the Town silent auction.

  • Thank you for sharing our story.

  • Thank you for strengthening our community.

  • Thank you for the Hoosier hospitality.

And thank you to IU Football for proving that when leadership, authenticity, and community come together the impact reaches far beyond the field.

We will never forget this season. We will never forget you.

Your dogs always have a home at Scout’s Honor.

Please bring them back so we don’t have to miss them forever.

Go Hoosiers. 🏈🐾
