The Next Chapter of Scout's Honor

Five years ago, we opened the doors to Scout's Honor with one goal: to raise the standard of pet care in Bloomington.

 

Today, we're excited to share that the next chapter has officially begun.

Scout's Honor is staying at 611 W. 11th Street.

 

Over the past several years, we've carefully planned what comes next. Rather than moving, we've chosen to invest in the place our community already calls home. Our building will continue to transform through a multi-year renovation that will completely reimagine nearly every part of our facility.

 

Our first major milestone is already complete: we've expanded into an additional 4,000 square feet.

 

This new space will eventually become the home of our luxury boarding suites, but while other construction phases are underway, we're putting it to work immediately as additional enrichment space. That means more room for individualized activities, new enrichment experiences, and even more opportunities for dogs to learn, explore, and have fun.

We're also expanding what enrichment looks like at Scout's Honor.

 

Over the coming months you'll begin seeing exciting new experiences including:

Treibball

• Scent work

• Herding-inspired activities

• Breed-specific enrichment experiences

• Expanded confidence-building programs

• New rotating monthly enrichment adventures

 

Every enrichment is designed around one philosophy: giving dogs healthy, science-based ways to express the behaviors they were born to perform.

 

Outside, we're growing too.

 

Beginning this summer, our outdoor enrichment space will double in size. Additional construction this fall will create even more outdoor play yards designed specifically for structured group play, Solo Camp enrichment experiences, training activities, and specialized enrichment programs.

 

These improvements aren't about fitting more dogs into the building—they're about creating better experiences for every dog who walks through our doors.

Even More Value for Pack Members

 

Beginning August 1, prices for core service and for Pack Membership will increase, but we're adding even more value than the price increase: 

 

Every membership tier is being enhanced with new benefits, including:

Spa services included with every membership level

Expanded daycare and boarding benefits

New training opportunities

Enhanced birthday celebrations

More monthly enrichment experiences

We're especially excited to introduce the Assisi Loop Lounge: The Assisi Loop uses targeted pulsed electromagnetic field (tPEMF) therapy, a non-invasive technology used in veterinary medicine to help support healing, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and assist with pain management. It is commonly recommended by veterinarians for senior dogs, dogs recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgery, and active dogs needing additional recovery support. Our goal is to make this innovative wellness service accessible as part of the Scout's Honor experience.

 

Birthday celebrations are getting an upgrade, too.

 

Our new Deluxe Birthday Package will include themed custom photo booths, birthday keepsakes, party enhancements, treats, and take-home goodie bags for furry party guests making birthdays even more memorable for both dogs and their families.

 

Looking Beyond Today

As Scout's Honor continues to grow, we're also laying the foundation for something even bigger.

 

We're developing a positive reinforcement dog sports community here in Bloomington, with future opportunities for activities like dock diving, Fast CAT, Treibball competitions, scent work trials, and other sports that celebrate what dogs were born to do.

 

Everything we're building: our facility, our enrichment programs, our memberships, and our team is guided by the same mission we've had since day one:

To raise the standard of pet care through science-based, enrichment-focused experiences while creating careers, not just jobs, for the people who make it all possible.
