In 2018, we started our pet sitting business with a focus on curating an experience that is tailored to your specific needs met with expertise and professionalism. With 6 snuggly dogs and cats between us and a combined 20 years of experience, we’re no strangers to the variety of personalities that our furry best friends can have. This custom approach allowed us to create meaningful relationships with our clients and truly build a community dedicated to quality pet care. After operating out of our client’s houses for 3 years, we decided it was time to find this business a fur-ever (and bigger) home! A space where play, comfort and amenities could be the center of what we do and allow us to serve more families in the southern Indiana region.

Voted the 2022 Herald Times Best of Btown in Dog Boarding/Dog Daycare. Scout’s Honor opened in in late June 2021 bringing enrichment-based dog boarding and daycare to the greater Bloomington area. In 2022 we expanded to offering spa and training services. 

 

The animal care industry is a professional career. We are the only Boarding/Daycare/Spa/Training company in Bloomington, Indiana that pays their employees a minimum wage of $15/hr AND offers full-time employees health insurance, PTO, etc. Employees are encouraged to further their knowledge through approved courses to earn raises. Our starting wage and continued education opportunities allow us to develop and retain the best talent in the animal care industry. We are proud that we were the first and currently are the only all-encompassing pet retreat in Bloomington with a Fear Free certified dog trainer, Fear Free & Heroes for Healthy Pets certified camp counselors, and Fear Free, Heroes for Healthy Pets, & PACCC certified managers.
